THEORY
Diatonically entirely in D Dorian #4.

The progression repeated throughout:
Bdim Dm Am E
7th versions of these chords are played sometimes too:
Bm7b5 Dm7 AmMaj7 E7
Bm7b5 and Dm7 are replaced with Dm6 in the last triplet section.

The double basses later moves through the triads, with the cello also moving more along the arpeggios.

The ending shifts to a triplet 6/8 feel with pizzicato violins contrasting rhythmically with straight 8ths, creating hemiolas (3:2 polyrhythm).
